Safe Weekly WordPress Updates

Every week we make sure to update your WordPress Core, Themes, and Plugins. "Safe updates" means we first take a backup of your website before doing any updates, then we perform the updates, then we do a visual check to make sure that everything is looking and functioning properly after the updates.

Weekly Reports with Google Analytics

We'll send you a weekly website report that will report on security, speed, backups, and more. We'll also connect your Google Analytics to the report so you can see how much traffic your website is getting on a week-to-week basis.

24/7 Uptime Monitoring

We are making sure that your website is always online and available. We get notified the minute that your website is down and if we get such a notification, we are on the ball getting your website back up and running again.

Website Backups

Backups are taken during off-peak traffic times to maintain optimal website performance are securely stored on our Amazon S3 cloud servers. We backup all the WordPress files and the database.

Emergency Support

We are here to support you in the event of any website emergency. This includes emergency issues with the hosting provider and anything else that would require an emergency website restore. We'll then do post-emergency communication as well so you know what happened and how we resolved the issue.

Critical Errors Monitoring

If a WordPress "Critical Error" happens on your website, we'll get notified and begin looking into the issue and working to solve it.

Monthly Contact Form Submissions Test

We want to make sure that your main contact form on your website is working and that you're receiving submissions to your inbox. So each month we will do a monthly contact form test to verify that you're getting the submissions.

Unlimited Small Website Updates

Unlimited small updates, fixes, and adjustments for your website. This includes tasks such as editing text and images, publishing blog posts, updating page content, creating new pages using existing templates, adjusting plugin settings, adding tracking or analytics code, updating links, and adding or removing products or coupons.

Updates covered under this plan are typically tasks that can be completed in 30 minutes or less.

Requests that involve custom page layouts, landing page design, recreating pages from external designs (such as Figma or HTML mockups), major layout changes, custom development, content creation, or graphic design fall outside the scope of the monthly plan and may be quoted separately as project work.

We'll do a full technical SEO audit of your website and begin making the changes to make your website as SEO friendly and ready as possible. This will help to boost your SEO and user experience.

We'll plug your website domain into our SEO tools and do Keyword research so that we can see where you're currently ranking, and what your ranking potential is (new keywords you can rank for). Then we'll get to work on optimizing your website content to rank for those keywords.

Do you have an annual payment option?

Does it matter what website host I am using?

No, you can host your website with any hosting provider. However, some hosting providers are better than others, so it may be worthwhile to switch to a quality hosting provider, such as SiteGround (the host that Smart Web Ninja uses).

Also, we do include website hosting for one website on our care plans, so you're more than welcome to take us up on that and we'll even do a free website migration for you. However, using the hosting that comes with the care plan is not mandatory.

What is and isn't included with unlimited website edits and changes?

Our Blue Belt plan includes unlimited small website updates and changes that help keep your website current, accurate, and functioning properly.

Examples of updates included in the plan:

Edits to text or content on existing pages
Adding or replacing images, banners, and page elements
Publishing blog posts you provide
Creating new pages using existing page templates or layouts
Adding or updating forms
Plugin setting changes
Minor CSS adjustments
Adding tracking code, analytics scripts, or pixels
Adding or removing products and coupons
Implementing technical website changes provided by a marketing or SEO partner (when they fall within the scope of small updates)
General formatting adjustments to existing pages

These updates are typically tasks that can be completed in 30 minutes or less.

What is not included with unlimited website updates?

The following services fall outside the scope of the monthly website management plans and may be quoted separately as project work:

Building a new website
Creating new custom page layouts or landing pages from scratch
Recreating pages from design files such as Figma, mockups, or custom HTML layouts
Custom development (themes, plugins, or advanced functionality)
Editing existing custom-coded systems
Graphic design or branding work
Content writing or copywriting
Large-scale layout redesigns

Can you do a one-time tasks and projects?

Can you work with our marketing person/team/outsourced provider?

Absolutely! We understand that a lot of our customers are working with other marketing persons and teams and often need to have things like landing pages built, etc on their website. We are the perfect complimentary partner to them because we can take care of anything that needs to be done on your website.

However, we do prefer to be your only partner when it comes to managing your website and making changes, as we make sure to follow our careful processes and testing when doing so.

Can you manage non WordPress websites?

How are website support requests handled?

All website support requests are submitted and handled through the Smart Web Ninja support system.

You can submit requests by emailing support@smartwebninja.com, which automatically creates a support ticket, or by logging into the Smart Web Ninja client portal to create and track tickets directly.

There is no limit to the number of update requests you can submit. Requests are handled through our support queue and completed in the order they are received.

Most requests are completed within 1–3 business days, depending on complexity and current workload.

To keep requests organized and ensure nothing gets missed, support is handled through our ticketing system only. Phone calls and internal messaging platforms such as Teams or Slack are not supported support channels.

If clarification is needed for a request, we may occasionally schedule a quick call, but most requests are handled directly through the support system.

For larger changes or requests that fall outside the scope of the support plans, we may provide a separate quote before work begins.
