Safe Weekly WordPress Updates

Every week we make sure to update your WordPress Core, Themes, and Plugins. "Safe updates" means we first take a backup of your website before doing any updates, then we perform the updates, then we do a visual check to make sure that everything is looking and functioning properly after the updates.

Weekly Reports with Google Analytics

We'll send you a weekly website report that will report on security, speed, backups, and more. We'll also connect your Google Analytics to the report so you can see how much traffic your website is getting on a week-to-week basis.

24/7 Uptime Monitoring

We are making sure that your website is always online and available. We get notified the minute that your website is down and if we get such a notification, we are on the ball getting your website back up and running again.

Website Backups

Backups are taken during off-peak traffic times to maintain optimal website performance are securely stored on our Amazon S3 cloud servers. We backup all the WordPress files and the database.

Emergency Support

We are here to support you in the event of any website emergency. This includes emergency issues with the hosting provider and anything else that would require an emergency website restore. We'll then do post-emergency communication as well so you know what happened and how we resolved the issue.

Critical Errors Monitoring

If a WordPress "Critical Error" happens on your website, we'll get notified and begin looking into the issue and working to solve it.

Monthly Contact Form Submissions Test

We want to make sure that your main contact form on your website is working and that you're receiving submissions to your inbox. So each month we will do a monthly contact form test to verify that you're getting the submissions.

This does not include things like building a whole new website, custom coding, content creation, and graphic design.

Technical SEO Audit and Remediation

We'll do a full technical SEO audit of your website and begin making the changes to make your website as SEO friendly and ready as possible. This will help to boost your SEO and user experience.

Cloud Email Management

We'll manage your cloud email platform to add/remove users and licenses, update email groups, etc. Whether you're on Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or use some other hosting email. We're your cloud email partners!

Questions around our pricing and care plans.

Do you have an annual payment option?

At this time we are not offering any of our care plans on an annual payment plan. All plans are month to month and we don't lock you into a contract.

Do you offer a non-profit discount?

At this time we do not offer discounts for non-profit organizations.

Do you offer refunds?

Because we don't lock you into a contract and all our plans are currently month-to-month (and we begin working on your website starting on day 1), we do not offer refunds. However, we know that business plans can change, so you can cancel your care plan at any time.

Does it matter what website host I am using?

No, you can host your website with any hosting provider. However, some hosting providers are better than others, so it may be worthwhile to switch to a quality hosting provider, such as SiteGround (the host that Smart Web Ninja uses).

Also, we do include website hosting for one website on our care plans, so you're more than welcome to take us up on that and we'll even do a free website migration for you. However, using the hosting that comes with the care plan is not mandatory.

What is and isn't included with unlimited website edits and changes?

Here's what's included with unlimited WordPress website edits and adds/moves/changes:

Edits to content on any page
Adding/removing images, banners, and page elements
Adding and designing entirely new pages (you provide the content/assets - may have a longer turnaround time but we'll work with you)
Adding/creating new forms
Plugin setting changes
Modifying CSS
Adding code such as Google Analytics, tracking code, pixels, etc
Adding new blog posts
Website changes and edits from a marketing firm you may be working with
- Ex: technical SEO changes that they may provide to you for change
Adding/removing products and coupons
Formatting pages and landing pages

Here's what's not included with unlimited WordPress website edits:

Building a whole new website
Custom coding (themes, plugins, etc)
Editing existing custom coding
Graphic design
Content writing/copywriting

The other thing to note is we don't cap you on the number of edit/change requests and we don't cap how long an issue or request will take as long as it's within the scope of what's included.

Can you do a one-time tasks and projects?

At this time we do not offer any one-time website tasks, edits, fixes, or projects (for example, to speed up your website).

Do you manage WooCommerce websites?

Yes, we manage ecommerce websites such as WooCommerce. A WooCommerce website requires our Blue Belt or Black Belt plan. Same goes for any membership websites or websites that take on-page payments (regardless if you use WooCommerce or not).

Can you work with our marketing person/team/outsourced provider?

Absolutely! We understand that a lot of our customers are working with other marketing persons and teams and often need to have things like landing pages built, etc on their website. We are the perfect complimentary partner to them because we can take care of anything that needs to be done on your website.

However, we do prefer to be your only partner when it comes to managing your website and making changes, as we make sure to follow our careful processes and testing when doing so.

Can you manage non WordPress websites?

We do not currently manage non WordPress websites. While we could, we prefer to stay in our lane as WordPress experts 🙂

Can I upgrade or downgrade my care plan?

Absolutely, you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your care plan at anytime. To do so, please submit a ticket and we'll make the change. When you make the change, it will become effective on the next monthly billing cycle.

Can I have more than one website on a single plan?

We welcome managing multiple websites for you, however, our care plans are designed for one website per care plan. If you have multiple websites that need to be managed, you'll need to purchase an individual care plan for each website.

Each website can be on the same or different care plans.

Are there discounts for multiple websites?

We currently do not offer discounts for multiple websites.

Do you manage multi-site websites?

We can manage multi-site websites. Each site within the multi-site must have it's own care plan. If you need more than 9 websites managed within a multi-site, please contact us.

Do you offer phone support?

At this time we only offer support via email. You can send a support request to [email protected] or go to our ticket portal to view tickets and submit new ones.

Can you manage websites on an in-house or cloud server?

Yes, we can manage your website if it's on an in-house or cloud server (such as Azure or AWS). Please note that we do not cover server management or administration for your in-house or cloud server. However, we will work and coordinate with your internal or outsourced IT team/person to manage your website (for example, updating the server's PHP version).

Can you manage custom built WordPress websites?

Yes, we can manage custom built WordPress websites. Please note that custom coding or making changes to custom code is not included in our care plans. However, if you need custom code development or changes we can work with you to find the best partner for your needs and environment.

Do you build new websites?

We can build new websites using our paid project process. We currently take on new website builds on a case-by-case basis. In the event that you request a new website project and we are unable to take it on, we will refer you to a reputable website development company. Can you do white-label WordPress management for my clients?

While we don't officially have a white-label program at this time, if you're interested in us doing white-label WordPress support for your clients, please contact us and we can chat.
